You asked. We delivered! Introducing the Sew Fabulous, customized and personalized, "Deacon on Parade" Quilt. "Deacon on Parade" is a bed size quilt with coordinating WF Pillow Shams! Notice the detail in the stitching of the Deacon as he is strutting in front of Wait Chapel. The sun is shining on his face and he’s proud to be a Demon Deacon! And we are, too! Over the last several months we have digitized and stitched and redigitized and restitched, perfecting the quilt we now proudly call "Deacon on Parade."

The quilt is constructed with a top fabric of black Sateen 100% cotton while the back of the quilt is highest quality Kona cotton. We have multi-layered the inside of the quilt with a batting of cotton and polyester blend and topped it off with a layer of wool batting for softness and warmth. This double layer of batting provides the beautiful loft which brings out the details in the stitching as well as providing a warm quilt to snuggle under.

The Deacon focal point is boldly stitched with a hand-twist of gold and metallic threads. I chose this technique after many hours of pondering and searching for the perfect touch to emphasize the awesome design of the Demon Deacon. I love it and I think you will too!

The WF pillow shams are stitched with the same hand-twist of gold and metallic threads accenting the large WF in the center of the pillow. You may also choose to complete this quilt set by adding our Wake Forest Embroidered Pillow constructed of the same 100% Cotton Sateen.

Choose a size for your quilt. Throw, Twin, XL Twin, Full, Queen or King. The Deacon is 34" which is the central focus of the bed top. The area between the deacon and the border is a quilting filler called stippling. The customized border will drape off the edge of the bed 12”. Do you need more than a 12” drape? Contact us and we can customize your Deacon on Parade quilt to accommodate your bed size.

Customize your quilt with a border of your choice. The border is customized with a quilting pattern that you love. A multi sports pattern is pictured here. But you may prefer footballs and helmets, or basketballs and stars, or band instruments, or science lab beakers, or dance slippers, or whatever your choice may be.
