Memories Preserved

I received the following email from Kimberly & Josh Helms after they opened the box that contained Josh’s T-Shirt quilt. She has permitted me to post it. Kimberly expresses in words what I often hear about our precious t-shirt quilts. Read below.

Gloria!!!

Since opening the box last night, I have just been in awe of your amazing work!!! I nearly cried when I saw the Beat Navy quilt. You took a bunch of t-shirts that were lost in the back of a closet and turned them into a work of art. Simply incredible.

I couldn’t wait any longer, so I spread the quilt on our bed to surprise Josh when he came home from work today. He is equally as impressed! Immediately, he posted a picture on Facebook, and started getting instant likes and inquiries. (Even one compliment from a Navy fan!) He said that it’s better than anything he could have possibly imagined, and is so glad that I did this for him, as he rolled himself up in it (I joked that I’d bury him in it). On Facebook, friends have indicated how fabulous the work is – your business is so aptly named! – so I imagine you might get some business from this foray into the Army market! All these guys (and gals) we know have their old shirts!!! I will send you some pictures soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your craft. It truly has been a pleasure doing business with you! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Blessings,

Kimberly
