Style: This is a wall-hanging that was quilted for the 2010 North Carolina Longarm Quilt Show. A Challenge Quilt is a "challenge" given to the guild quilters. Each has the same piece work and the challenge is to determine how to quilt the pieced work.

Quilted: August 2010

Quilting Design: I chose the Dogwood Set with Bluebirds. The dogwood borders add a nice balance to the pieced work.

Crosshatching in the blue sashing separates the center Bluebird theme from the borders. The challenge was determining the nine patch set within the half-square triangles corner pieces. Notice how the corner quilting frames the nine patch.
